Apollonia Kotero

Patricia Apollonia Kotero has been an actress and model in America for a number of years. The most well-known of her works is the main character in Prince's 1984 Purple Rain film and lead singer in the girl-group Apollonia 6 The actor and singer named Apollonia by Prince and became one of the many female musicians in the '80s that benefited from her connection with Prince, the Purple One. Patricia Kotero, born 1959 in Santa Monica California began her career as a model and actress. In the late 70s she appeared on CHiPS. The lead female character in Prince's Purple Rain was her first part from the year 1984. Prince changed the girl's name during this time. The actress replaced Vanity with the female trio Vanity 6 to perform in the film as Apollonia 6 replacing Vanity. Sex Shooter was not a huge hit for the group, however she made a greater effect as the duet partner of Prince on Take Me with You on the soundtrack. Kotero broke up with Prince following a falling out about the fate of Apollonia 6. The singer then appeared in few minor films in the late 1980s (reportedly declining the opportunity to appear in the follow-up to Purple Rain Under the Cherry Moon) prior to settling for an evening-time part in the film Falcon Crest in 1985-1986. Apollonia released her first album in 1988. However, it was an average collection of R&B/dance music which did not draw attention from the people. It quickly vanished from view. Apollonia was active, even if she wasn't in the spotlight as an actress during the decade following with small appearances in films and on television. Even an exercise DVD was released. Apollonia recorded a bilingual album titled Stay With Me. In later years, after returning to school and receiving an award for filmmaking, she founded her own production business. Apollonia is employed in a variety of roles. She has worked as a model, singer-actress and talent manager. Her most well-known role is an actress for her part in the film Purple Rain from 1984. Some other films and television shows she was in included Black Magic Woman and The Divorce Ceremony. Kotero debuted her career as a model. She has participated in various contests and pageants. Kotero took first place at her first contest, the Miss San Pedro Beauty Pageant. Early 1980s, she began her acting career. The American beauty was also featured in music video for Ray Parker Jr., Eddie Money and other artists. Kotero Entertainment is a multimedia entertainment company and he is an entrepreneur.
